Welcome to Homestead Guest Cabins, one of Alaska's best-kept secrets, located a convenient 2 hour drive from Anchorage northeast along the beautiful Glenn Highway National Scenic Byway in the Glacier View community and just minutes away from the spectacular Matanuska Glacier. Stunning views are found everywhere the eye can see as the Talkeetna Mountains follow the highway on the north side and the Chugach Range rises up on the south. The cabins are nestled in a peaceful quiet valley off the highway surrounded by spruce and aspen forest, an abundance of wild flowers, and the neighborhood moose that may wander by your cabin!
The three charming and cozy cabins are handcrafted by the owner and beg you to come on in and rest while soaking up the peacefulness of nature surrounding you. The cabin amenities include modern conveniences, private baths, full kitchens, new furnishings, wireless internet, and are tastefully decorated with artwork from a variety of local Alaskans. The Glacier View area offers a host of opportunities for the Alaska adventurer including beautiful hikes, glacier treks, zip lining, river rafting, ATV tours, and so much more. Many of our guests tell us that they wish that they had booked for a longer stay so consider staying with us for a few days and giving yourself time to absorb the beautiful scenery.
